A Certain Place

You are in a certain place for such a time as this. You know we have gone through life day in and day out with the same routine. Over and over and over again. Until right now. Our lives have been interrupted from a pandemic and social injustice. We may sit and ask ourselves what can happen next to keep disrupting our lives. Well, I am here to tell you... life as we have known it has changed whether we accept it or not. We are in a certain place for such a time as this. Our lives have been flipped upside down and chaos is all around. But, you see, one thing in everything that is going on has remained the same and will continue to remain the same until the end of time and beyond. And that is the Word of God. We change, our circumstances change, this world changes, but God never changes. We need to grab hold to His hand like never before and hold on tight because the ride is just beginning.  I can’t tell you not to get discouraged because we are human. We will have our days of feeling overwhelmed, defeated and weak, but we must run and find ourselves under the shadow of His wing to get our strength. Learn to lift yourselves up out of where you are and continue to fight the good fight of faith. Weeping endures for a night but joy definitely comes in the morning. I can’t say when morning is and yes America is in mourning right now for social injustice and losses from a pandemic, but one thing we must remember: It’s a new day. It’s a new vibe. It’s a new generation walking to the drumbeat of a new era in time. Whether we are out marching, or teaching and discussing with our loved ones at home, we must see each other as one Body moving to a better tomorrow. Let’s walk in love, let’s speak love, let’s pray love in and throughout this nation. America is lacking love and we need to start to unify in love with each other - no matter your race, ethnicity, background, or status. When it all comes down to it, if you open all of us up, we bleed the same color and that is love. Start today smiling and share that unique smile with whomever you can for a better tomorrow.
